My first 21 Day Challenge
Hello, Unique-Movers π€Έ I hope you are all still keeping healthy and happy π
As you all know Iβve been a little sparse with my posts on Facebook of late and itβs something I have been missing, to be honest. π€« I had a lot of fun during the beginning of lockdown posting videos pretty much every day, connecting with people all over, and sharing my love for movement. π
On that note, I decided it was time to start having fun with posting again and start my first 21-Day challenge from the beginning of December. I thought a 21-Day challenge was quite fitting since Iβm only working for 21 days this month. π
I must say that I jumped into the challenge headfirst and have come to realise that it is going to be an interesting experience getting it done from my side. π I like to keep my movement as balanced as one can, however, in this case, the challenge would be brutal if an exercise that comes in the form of a set (right and left, considered one rep) was later in the challenge with a high number of reps, so I have decided to break the set into two reps (right is one rep and left is the second rep), however, this then leaves some of the movements uneven. π± To combat this I have kept track of which direction I started these exercises so we can alternate the start direction each day to bring the balance back into the equation, the fun part of this process is remembering which side to start each day! π
So now that I feel this aspect has been solved, I need to now find a way to remember all 21 exercises and my memory is really not that amazing π My way of solving this aspect is quite simple, to write all the exercises down and put them up on the wall for me to see while doing the challenge. πΊ So, if you see a bunch of paper stuck up on the wall, you know why. π€£
Like I said doing this challenge with you for the first time in my life is going to be an interesting experience, but I am looking forward to learning while sharing with you all. πΉ
Community is something important to me so everyone and anyone is welcome to join me in this challenge with no charge whatsoever, so We, as Unique-Movers can re-connect as a community and in general, have fun moving again. π
The challenge is also based on Classical Pilates movements to give tribute to the first Pilates course I did through BASI that focuses on the more classical movements with modern day science backing it. I thought it was fitting since both this challenge and the course are both firsts for me in my life π
I hope you jump in and join me on the fun! π
